Casual Outfit for Spring: What I Wore
Happy Thursday ladies and welcome to spring. Brrr. Last weekend was warm enough to wear new sandals, sun hat, and a cotton tee. This week? Not so much. We’re back to windy, rainy and crummy. Yuck. I’m more than ready for warm temps.
For a day of errands on Tuesday, I wore a casual outfit of neutrals with a pop of color.
I’m loving black with pink in all derivations this year so I wore black jeans, a white tunic, and my new hoodie. It’s technically pomegranate, but close enough.
I squeezed into my softest, most forgiving black jeans, #vacationpadding, a cozy long-sleeved tunic and topped it with this happily colored hoodie from Artful Home. I wore pom-pom earrings, open back mules and grabbed a bright pink handbag.
Sadly my first hoodie got destroyed when I splashed bleach down the front. Does that mean I shouldn’t do laundry? Just sayin’. So I was thrilled to see this
The fabric is a waffle texture that’s lighter weight than their previous jackets so it’ll be perfect when the warm weather arrives. The Cypress hoodie is part of Artful Homes’
This runs a bit larger than Fenini’s previous knit jackets. I’m wearing a medium and could easily have worn a small. The length is several inches shorter than this Bee Jacket but still plenty long to wear over leggings.
Are you a fan of bright colors on gloomy days?
Thanks for reading and have a great day.
Thanks to Artful Home for partnering on this post. I was provided product and compensated. All opinions are my own.
YES! This the colour I’m talking about! Dreary days call for bright colour. I would wear all of this in a heartbeat!
Great outfit! And I love this color on you
Jennifer, the pink lipstick looks beautiful on you. Pink is a great color for you. I am wavering about the jacket. Here in the DC area we go from 30 to 80 in a week, so I am not sure how frequently I would get the wear it. Hmmm?
Love bright colors on chilly spring days. This outfit is great! I like the color and style. And the pompon earrings. Very perky and fun?
Mules are a problem for me … I tend to walk out of them somehow. The art of walking in them for an entire block without losing one, eludes me. I know how chilly and blustery and wet CA springs can be ( but I love them) so my feet would be uncomfortably cold in those shoes.
I’d want a soft bootie. And warm socks. And a fun umbrella.
What a bright and fun color! I still can’t get myself out of booties and sox, my feet are freezing! I’m ready to start wearing my cute loafers and flats.
I love the outfit…the scarf picks up the bright colours perfectly.
You are right the black jeans look super with the bright pink.
Such a great color on you, Jennifer! It helps you look vibrant despite the weather!
Does the white tunic require a cami under it?
No it doesn’t. This fabric is totally opaque. I have 4 tunics in this fabric and love it.
It’s a great spring color! You nailed the outfit perfectly!
Love that color! It’s 41 degrees this morning in Alabama and I wish I had that to put on!
Oh my! That’s crazy cold for Alabama.
