Counting My Blessings
Vancouver has been buried in a snowstorm, so I hope to be picking up my daughter at the airport later today and will be signing off for a few days. I want to take the time to soak in all the love and family vibes that I can. My son and grandson will be here, and my sister-in-law will join us, so we’ll have a full house.
I’m wearing a few of Chico’s outfits below, which the brand sent me to share on Instagram. The teal is a huge color for them this collection, and I love it!
Thanksgiving was lovely but quiet this year, so I’m excited to celebrate Christmas surrounded by loved ones. We’ve ordered an organic turkey, and I plan to bake some goodies with my daughter and grandson. I haven’t decided if I’ll share anything on Instagram, but I will decide that in the moment.
This is the time of year when I take stock of all I have to be grateful for. My family and I are blessed with good health, and although I often grumble about some minor stuff, I know they’re trivial compared to the challenges many are dealing with.
I’ll pop in here for WYWI on Saturday, then be back on Boxing Day to share a few sales I’m shopping that you might want to take a peek at.
I also want to take this time to tell you how grateful I am for you. Your kind comments and wise observations have made this a community I’m proud to be part of. As you celebrate your holidays, please take the time to give yourself some extra self-care. This time of year, when you are doing so much for others, remember to take a moment to breathe and appreciate how precious you are.

Love Chicos clothes, of course I work there part time. I cant wear all their styles as Iām short 5ā1ā. Iāll do a bunny tie on a blouse but not a fan of the wrap sweater. Yes Teal is a great color and almost everyone can wear it.

I hope Vanessa makes it home to you tonight. Iām afraid the recent storm has played havoc with our flights, ferries, buses and more. We are not accustomed to temperatures this low and so much snow. Unfortunately, there is more to come Thursday night and Friday. Vanessa might have found the sweet spot.
