Easy Lands’ End Dresses For Spring
We’ve talked about dresses a lot on the blog lately, and many of you love wearing them for warmer weather. Spring has sprung in our neck of the woods, so today, I’m styling a few easy-to-wear and casual Land’s End dresses for spring at a great price from Kohls.
Lands’ End Surplice Maxi Dress
This Land’s End surplice maxi dress fits like a dream. The overlap is designed perfectly to stay closed and not gap when you move or bend over.
I gravitated to the navy polka dot, but when I saw this fresh green, that sealed the deal. This green is trending for spring and summer and looks fresh with so many other colors. The fabric is a machine-washable cotton/modal/spandex blend that’ll be easy and cool all summer. I think you could easily dress this up or down with accessories.
The skirt is solid with an overlay that wraps over, so there’s no chance of gapping open or flashing your legs as you move about. I chose the petite medium, which fits me perfectly. It’s also available in regular length here and plus sizes here. The petite is 48 1/2″ long in sizes XS-XL. The regular is 52″ long in sizes XS-XL Tall, and the plus comes in sizes 1-3X. The fabric is substantial enough not to need a slip which is always a plus during the summer. I have a very straight figure and love the illusion of a waist that these gathers give me.

I decided on black shoes to pop against the green. White would work equally well. These Clarks wedges have a velcro strap to snug securely against your foot. I’m not sure when I began preferring the precision of a velcro strap over holes, but it could also have to do with them being easier to put on and take off š. These have a comfy foam footbed, and the wedge means the heel isn’t too high.
This Simply Vera bag comes in several color combos, including all black, but I opted for this natural and black to tie in with the cork of the wedges. If you wear red, it also comes in a red and natural combo. The cross-body strap does not detach, so I simply laid it inside to carry as a purse.
I topped the dress with this Simply Vera white denim jacket. It’s made from cotton/spandex stretch denim, so it’s very comfy. It comes in three colors in sizes XS-XXL. A pleasant surprise is the white buttons on the white denim, which gives a cleaner look.
Lands’ End T-Shirt Dress
This Land’s End T-shirt dress is such a great easy basic for casual days, and it’s marked down. It comes in four color stripes sizes XS-XL. I’m wearing the regular length, which is 36″. It also comes in petite here, which is 34″ long. I love that they didn’t add those worthless chest pockets that brands put on tees. What do they expect us to put in those tiny pockets?
I paired this dress with neutral beige shoes and a wicker bag. These wedges are by Dr. Scholl’s, which is known for its insole technology with foam footbed cushioning, comfort, & support. These straps are stretchy, so you just slip them on and off. Another wedge that’s easy on and easy off. They are also available in black, but I felt the brown was a softer look with the light-colored dress.
This LC Lauren Conrad wicker top handle bag is a fun shape in polypropylene straw which is much sturdier than bamboo or rattan wicker. I love the look of wicker bags in the warm weather. This is a ladylike size that you could pop into a tote if you needed to carry lots of stuff. I love the flat bottom so it stays upright when you set it down. It also comes in white or a pretty blue top and strap.
I popped this Allegra K denim jacket over the top of the dress, which has some shaping at the waist. It’s almost sold out with good reason…its unique shape and soft fabric. I think it runs small and so I suggest you size up.
These Nine West Teardrop earrings are light as a feather and make a great statement. They come in jet, aqua, or this vibrant blue with nickel-free metal.

My husband likes the tee shirt dress! For some reason he doesnāt like the wrap twist looking dress. He thought it was the grey one I bought! Well, I like both! I have to buy LandsEnd online. I love Kohlās and have a lot of winter clothes I got online from there. The nearest stores are in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, 50 miles one way. Thank you for showing clothes that I can afford.

Love the Land’s End brand – good quality and the price point can’t be beat. Thanks for sharing the brand and dresses. The mint green dress – love the color but not the style for me. At 5’4″ maxi dresses make me look shorter and frumpy. I don’t know how you pull it off so effortlessly Jennifer. I will say I’m not a fan of the black sandals with this drees. I know you were going for a “pop” to showcase the dress but (no offense) what I saw was ‘old lady’ shoes and my eyes went straight to the shoes rather than focusing on the lovely dress. I think the shoes you wore with the pink stipe dress would have looked lovely and also the light tan sandals that you’ve shown several times would have looked great too, I think. Not trying to be critical just sharing what MY eye saw.

I have just returned from a shopping spree in Scottsdale and Mesa. This was my first visit to Arizona. I live in Victoria and had a lot of fun checking out stores that we donāt have in Canada. I went to Nordstromās, Chicoās, J.J Jillās and many others. My absolute favourite store was the Loft. I finally found a store that has clothes that are my style. The real surprise at the Loft was everything was 50% so I had to buy more. Great fun! The Botanical Gardens and the views of the Superstition Mountain range were also spectacular.

Most of the dresses in my closet are Landsend, the quality is very good and they last. They laundry really well. Iām looking at the wrap dress in the bright pink and the navy dots, canāt make up my mind š¤. Iām with you on the little pocket on tee shirts and dresses, why? I wear my Jean jackets with my dresses too.
Feel they can make an outfit feel dressy with the right accessories.
Do like the cut of the v-neck in the LE T-Shirt dress (not excessively deep or wide thru the shoulder) and particularly the VW TH/CB Bag and white denim jacket (style ‘n design of both). (Wish we had a Kohl’s in Canada….. š) -Brenda-

I love worthless chest pockets on t-shirt dresses. They are a cute detail on an otherwise plain dress. Iām worried about the length. Compared to other dresses I own, 36ā should be just above the knee for me at 5ā 8.ā But you are four inch shorter and itās knee length on you. Not sure whether I will order it or not, but itās exactly the kind of dress I like for summer.
At 5’8″ it might feel too short on you unless you want to wear leggings under it.
