Easy Ways to Add Holiday Spirit to Your Home

Santa Mugs, Set of 4

I love adding hints of nostalgia to my home, and this set of vintage-inspired Santas is so adorable! Imagine cuddling up under a cozy blanket and enjoying your morning cup of coffee or tea in one of these beside your twinkling Christmas lights. These are so cheery and jolly :).

Joy Pillow

Pillows are an inexpensive way to add holiday cheer around your home. This beautiful Joy pillow can be used indoors or out, making it perfect for your front porch swing or even on your bed or couch!

Battery Powered Window Candles, Set of 6

I am hooked on the ease of battery candles. Candles in the windows add such a cozy look to your home during the holiday season. This battery-powered pack of 6 is available in gold or silver. The remote makes turning them on and off so easy!

Snowflake Pillow Covers, Set of 2

Add some Christmas spirit to your couch or bed with these beautiful pillow covers. They are available in blue, red, grey, and white to match any decor.

Merry Christmas Sign

Little wooden signs like this add charm and personality to a space! I think this one would look great on a mantel, bathroom counter, or desk.

Light Up Christmas Trees

Add a touch of glam to your holiday decor with this three-piece light-up Christmas tree set that is beautiful during the day and even more stunningly lit at night. They are battery-powered, and their built-in timer is genius.

Merry & Bright Doormat

Welcome your guests to your home with this festive Merry & Bright Doormat. It comes in three different for any front door.

Pom-Pom Buffalo Check Throw Pillow Covers, Set of 2

I love the adorable touch the pompoms add to these classic buffalo plaid pillow covers! There’s just something about the holidays and buffalo plaid. They would look great paired with the snowflake pillows above. They also are available in non-Christmas colors like yellow, gray, teal, and black.

Mail Box Swag

Make sure the outside of your home is decorated as well with this beautiful pre-lit mailbox swag. It’s constructed of real-feel branch tips and runs on a timer, so you aren’t running outside to turn it on and off. Honestly, timers are everything to me, not because I’m lazy but because they make things effortless.

Poinsettia Holly Leaf Table Runner

This festive poinsettia table runner will add a beautiful touch to your Christmas dining table display, and it’s a great buy at under $9! Mine seems to get cranberry sauce spilled on it yearly so I’m always needing a new one.

Printed Fabric Tablecloth for Christmas

Effortlessly dress up your festive dinner table with this tablecloth. Your grandchildren will love Santa and the reindeer making an appearance in your decor! Christmas is going to be so fun with my grandson this year. I dread the year he no longer believes in Santa.

6.5 Ft. Pre-Lit Artificial Full Christmas Tree

If you are in need of a new Christmas tree, this is a great one! Featuring hundreds of individually crafted branch tips to create full-bodied branches, this tree is designed to look and feel lifelike. This tree features pre-attached, hinged branches that drop down for a simple set-up and fold back in for quick and convenient storage. We finally bought an artificial tree last year and LOVE that they are no needles to vacuum up from the rug.

Plus, here are a few extra things that are great to have on hand during the holiday season:

Wrap Buddies Tabletop Gift Wrapping Tool

Save time and frustration with your gift-wrapping endeavors by using Wrap Buddies. It’s a pair of handy wrapping paper table clamps with a tape dispenser to keep all your supplies within reach and give you the extra hand you need!

Hallmark Reversible Wrapping Paper, 3 Rolls, 120 sq. ft. Total

I love using double-sided wrapping paper. The 6 prints in this pack of reversible holiday wrapping paper coordinate perfectly to make wrapping presents quick and easy.

18 Pack Christmas Premium Holiday Gift Bags

There’s nothing worse than running into the store on your way to a holiday gathering to grab a gift bag. Having gift bags on hand makes the holiday season so much easier!

Merry Christmas Tag Stickers

Make your wrapping process easy by having your gift tags ready! This pack of 200 classic Christmas stickers coordinates beautifully with the bags and wrapping paper above. I think the little reindeer touch is so cute!

  1. I so enjoy reading your blog Jennifer. They are a cheerful break for me
during challenging times as sole caregiver for my husband who has dementia. Outings have become scarcer than “hens teeth”, so my “self” time is limited. Shopping is almost always online. Your “Latest Finds” today included a gorgeous teal bordered wool scarf from Nordstrom–so beautiful! I would put a gift card towards the purchase of that very scarf! Crossing my fingers!

  2. How sweet of you, Jennifer! I would probably use my gift card to purchase something for my home. I love home decor and am always looking for something special to add.

  3. So nice of you to offer a giveaway! I Know my daughter would love a gift from Nordstrom’s. She has no time to shop for herself, as she works ridiculous long hours for a busy orthopedic dr. She definitely would be surprised.

Love Christmas decorations, even though I have no room to store. You have great ideas here for holidays.

  4. Iā€™m expecting my first grandbaby, so would definitely buy something special for her. Love Nordstrom, as well as your blog, Jennifer!

  5. I have started thinking about Christmas. My son and his family have lived in Texas the last 4 years. We have traveled there so I have only done the minimum no tree. Looking forward to the grandkids helping decorate. Getting out some kid decorations. I would have my daughter help me choose something when I visit since she has a Nordstrom close by.

  6. I love decorating but Christmas does not come until the day after Thanksgiving in our house. Then out comes the tree, advent wreath, door wreaths, Santas and of course snowmen who hang around until March.
    Thanks for all the inspiration.

  7. Your photos and suggestions give me fresh ideas to update my look. I would use the gift card to purchase a new sweater.

  8. Thanks, Jennifer. Your suggestions are good ones!

  9. Cheryll Sampson says:

I would buy my significant other something nice.

  10. My Christmas decorating has become much sparser over the years. We do a real tree that goes up a few days before Christmas and my outdoor urns get decorated mid December weather depending, and that’s about it.
As for the Nordstrom gift card, I would use it towards a splurge for myself – perhaps my favourite perfume.

  11. I would give it to my widowed, aged, childless neighbor who needs so much.t

  12. Terrry D. says:

I would use your gift card for a brown leather purse I have been hunting for for quite a while. Thanks for great posts.

  13. Meg Anderson says:

I would save the gift card for a Valentine’s gift fot my daughter, who works so hard and could use some pampering.

  14. Nordstromā€™s is the best for small footed women! A gift card would help feed my shoe passion! Never decorate before Thanksgiving. Love your blog!

  15. Love your ideas for decorating, but after Thanksgiving is soon enough for me! If I won the gift card to Nordstrom, I’d give it to my sweet DIL. The kids have been sick so much and she deserves some pampering!

  16. Hi Jennifer! The gift card giveaway is a great idea! And Nordstrom special-orders shoes for my small feet! Sadly, no petite department anymore, but lots of accessories to jazz me up!

    1. Arlene Lovelace says:

If I won the gift card, I would use it for alterations on clothes I already own, but donā€™t fit me correctly.

  17. I would spend mine on Revitalash, lashes got very thin due to alopecia. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I would shop the after Christmas sales for Eileen Fisher! Thanks

  19. I donā€™t have a physical Nordstrom store near me, but I love to shop on their website! I would buy myself a beautiful sweater for the holidays.

  20. I love Nordstroms and since I have a really difficult time finding cute wide width shoes I would put the gift card towards that.

  21. How lovely of you to offer give-aways! It’s funny how different we are about putting out holiday decorations! In the tiny town where I live now, people decorate right after Thanksgiving whereas in my former Boston suburb, we were purchasing trees just before Christmas — and leaving them up forever LOL. I read using fabrics for gift wrapping is in this year, and since it’s sustainable and doesn’t contribute to inflation, I’m looking forward to seeing what I can come up with. I also forage outside for table decorations and use (admittedly purchased) plants for decoration. My Xmas cactus are beginning to bloom NOW – election cactus, I guess.

  22. Gina Mathewson says:

I love Nordstrom. Their return policy is convenient and easy!
    Love your posts.

  23. Love a giveaway; thanks for doing this for your readers. I would buy a cozy sweater or a new fragrance–something just for me! I have started my holiday shopping and your ideas are just what I needed to move me to continue. But I don’t like to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving.

  24. I would love the Nordstrom gift card as there are so many choices for the people on my gift list.

  25. Thanks so much for your fashion tips and sources. You seem to have endless energy. In my mindā€™s eye, I see an eyeshadow palate of neutral blush shades at Nordstromā€™s that I would love to tryā€¦.

  26. A Nordstrom gift card would be a special treat for my sister!!

  27. Thanks for doing a giveaway, Jennifer! Not sure at this moment how I would spend the card, but the possibilities are endless at Nordstrom’s. Seeing all the Christmas decor is getting me anxious for decorating but I will wait till after Thanksgiving to decorate. Since we are hosting 16 people for Thanksgiving, I will keep Fall decor up till after Thanksgiving. Then when my husband and I recover from the big dinner we’ll work on Christmas! HaHa.

  28. Becky Porterfield says:

I would buy something for my daughter who just had a baby

  29. If I would win the gift card I have absolutely no idea what I would purchase. Lol, but I would certainly enjoy it!

  30. Thank you for the Nordstrom giveaway! I would spend it on a gift for my fashionable daughter.
