Weekend Reading 07.04.26
Happy long weekend, if you celebrate the 4th of July. I’m up in Vancouver, so we celebrated Canada Day this week. We’ve been watching as many FIFA games as possible and have gotten caught up in the excitement.
I wore this Johnny Was kimono for the first time last week, and while I love the little jacket, I don’t like how I styled it. Thinking through what I own, I actually think it wil look best over this Tommy Bahama dress I wore in Singapore, but that’s in California. I’ll keep experimenting to see what else I can put it with here.

- This Tommy Bahama Maxi Dress literally flew out the door to so many of you. I haven’t seen such a reaction in a long time. The fabric is perfect for travel, and the cinched detail gives you a great shape.
- This Cotton Linen Roll Neck Sweater was also a bestseller last week. It comes in several colors and is a great layering piece.
- This Frank & Eileen Triple Fleece Maxi dress is on sale and was super popular last week. I also ordered it 😉. Their fleece is one of my favorite fabrics.
- Thisindoor/outdoor Machine Washable Rug is so very pretty and was another bestseller this week. I ordered the small size because I’m running out of room!
- This Electric Picks Sonic Necklace was also very popular this week.
- This Tommy Bahama Raffia Belt/Crossbody Bag for the 4th week running, and it’s on sale.

Nordstrom Rack is having a private sale on Paige, online only. I have these straight-leg jeans and love them. I also have these high-waist Anessa jeans, and they are so flattering.
Jenni Kane Semi-Annual Warehouse Sale is on, and I am shopping it. This cardigan is in my cart, as is this Spencer cardigan and this cotton cable-knit cardigan. Clearly, I don’t need all of them, so I have to make a decision.
Nordstrom has so many summer items on sale in preparation for the Anniversary Sale! These Munro sandals are marked down, and I know how comfy this brand is. These Josef Seibels are also marked down in 3 colors, but the red is fab! This NAGHEDI bag is also marked down, which I seldom see.

Your hair looks fantastic! The Johnny Was kimono is lovely in both color and print. For me, it is very difficult to style tops where the length of the top ends at the same place as the length of the sleeves — I end up feeling like I’m wearing a (large) box. Because you are much slimmer, that hardly applies to you, but I wonder if you would like it better if you could cuff the sleeves? I also wonder about a shorter necklace/pendant to lift the eye? These are my tips for myself and, as they say, YMMV (your mileage may vary). All said with a twinkle in the eye!

For the Artiza pants, did you get the regular length or the short? I’m 5’4” so often can go either way but wasn’t sure with these, as I’d want to wear them with flat sandals or other low heel/low profile shoes. Thanks!
I bought the short. They’re still long but perfect with a sneaker or sandal with cork sole (1/2”)
