What’s New at Nordstrom This Month: February 2025
Before we left town last week, I stopped at Nordstrom in search of fresh colors and wearable classics. I know many of you are still knee-deep in snow or brutally cold weather, but spring fashion is right around the corner, so here’s what I found:

A try-on is when I go into a store and style their latest collection so readers can see what’s new and get some ideas for how they could wear it. For size reference, I’m 5’4″, which puts me on the cusp of petite. I have broad shoulders and straight hips with no obvious curves. You can see my other recent try-ons here.

This Nic & Zoe puffer vest comes in 4 colors, but I could not resist this pistachio! Its diamond stitching has a slimming effect, and it’s a great weight to layer over things. It’s currently marked down. The striped tee also comes in 4 color combos. I liked how this green multi picks up both the pistachio color of the vest and the gray of the jeans for a cohesive look. Both run true to size. These demi bootcut jeans are a soft gray mercury color, which is on trend for 2025. They’re ankle-length, bootcut legs with a softly frayed hem. These are pretty stretchy and comfy.

Next, I went for pink 🩷. This Caslon crewneck cardigan is a lightweight modern essential that works in many wardrobes. It comes in 4 colors and runs true to size, but there seems to be a debate in the review section. I paired it with these Kut From The Kloth high-rise wide-leg jeans. These do run slightly large and are very stretchy, so if you’re on the edge, I would size down. They have a 29″ inseam and a raw hem, so you could easily cut them to the length you need.

EILEEN FISHER ORGANIC COTTON JACKET size S
I made a bee-line for this Eileen Fisher blue silk blouse, which is currently marked down and selling fast. The silk is machine washable, and the shape is slightly boxy so if you wear it untucked, it’s forgiving on the waistline. I topped it with this EF organic cotton jacket (on sale now). It’s an oversized shape, as most of her clothes are, but it fits true to size. It has classic styling with notched lapels, a back vent, and a front button closure.
I’m styling those with these EF ankle-length wide-leg jeans. These have 2% spandex, so they stretch but not so much that they lose their shape. They have a 27″ inseam and a 23″ leg opening. I love the crisp white pants with the intense blue of the blouse for spring. These jeans run true to EF sizing.

Back in bright pink with this Sam Edelman fringe jacket that’s currently marked down. It comes in 3 colors and is 20″ long. You can see the sleeves are long on me…which means they run long because I have long arms. I’m wearing it over this Reformation jersey dress. I love the contrast of black with pink. The dress is 88% organic cotton and 12% spandex, so it’s very stretchy. The marks you see are smudges on the mirror, not the outfit. I’m going to have to start bringing Windex and paper towels with me to a try-on 🤣.

I think I already mentioned here, that I adore the shape of this Wit & Wisdom peplum denim jacket. This medium is a bit too loose on me, so it runs generously. I’ve shared before that this has very slightly puffed shoulders and princess seaming which slim the torso. I’m styling it over this cozy tencel and wool turtleneck. It’s very thin and would be great for layering without adding bulk. It comes in 5 great colors, this is red grape. The stretch twill chinos are such a great classic in olive. It’s a cotton/spandex blend that will be great into the spring and summer. It’s also on sale.
The following day, I popped back in to try on a few more things:

This striped cotton/cashmere blend sweater feels beautiful against the skin. It runs a bit large, so I suggest you size down. I’m wearing black and white plus it also comes in solid camel and navy with beige stripe. It only has 10% cashmere. so there’s no itchiness and its a lovely sweater for the price. I paired it with these high waist flare jeans which do fit true to size. They fit beautifully for a $119 jean, and I love the flare shape. They don’t mention the inseam measurments but since I am standing on my tippy toes, I gues it is 31″.

The sporty shape of this brushed bomber jacket is elevated by a front placket that covers the zipper. This is a soft blend that includes elastaine, so it has some stretch. It runs true to size and also comes in a pretty navy. I’m wearing it over these wide-leg pants in a orion blue. They have a button front, which I usually hate, but these were easy to do up. They’re a cotton/spandex blend with a 30″ inseam, come in 4 colors, and run a bit large. The reviews are positive on these and I would agree.

Same pants again, this time with the Wit & Wisdom Peplum denim jacket in white. I added a white Pima cotton tee that’s a great quality and opaque, which I always love.

Hi there😊I’m posting from New Zealand. Love most of your choices! You look stunning in those wonderful vibrant colours!
Apart from us leaving summer for autumn I enjoy seeing what’s available in your part of the world even if it’s a season apart. Ideas are still helpful.
Have also enjoyed recommended reading.
Many blessing to you. Diane NZ
I agree with a previous comment, white is a great neutral on you. That white jacket makes your skin and hair pop! Also loving the pistachio vest – such a great color! I’m going to check that one out.
I love the freshness of white! Thank you
Hi Jennifer, I’m pretty new here. I just ordered the peplum jacket in green yesterday! I plan on wearing it with a creamy top and jeans.
You’ll love it. It’s a great jacket
I immediately bought that white peplum jacket- it looks great!
So thankful for your try on because I hate to physically shop!
Thanks
Noël
My pleasure!
Spring will come, but today it’s snowing here and an ice storm coming next! Your spring try on was fun to see. Lots of what you wore is right up my alley!
Love the peplum jackets. Great post.
Good Morning Jennifer, I love it when Nordstrom is your target try-on. My favorite store. That white Peplum jacket looks great on you. Hope you bought it. And I like that you paired it with a white tee. Since we’ve been talking about about skin tones and colors to compliment, I had my colors analyzed years ago and pure white was one that was a no for me. But I noticed they also have a green color as well as the white and denim. I’m interested and added it to wish list. Thanks for this post.
That Wit & Wisdom white jacket looks so good on you. Love it!
Hi de Hi,
Love your posts. always Great new pieces.
Different subject your hair color, is it a demi permanent or your own. Transitioning from gold blond to ashy, and routes coming thru silver, aiming for your color.
Help please
Gail
Mine is natural. No color for several years. Try using a bluing shampoo every few days to blend your tones.
That Wit & Wisdom white jacket looks so good on you. Love it
I think white looks really pretty on you!
Loved the Wit & Wisdom jacket. I ordered it from your link. I ordered it in 2 sizes due to the reviews saying it ran big. Did you find it true to size? It is adorable on you! I am excited to wear it. Jennifer in Port Angeles, WA.
It did run a bit large so I’m glad you got two sizes to try. It’s a great little jacket. Thank you so much for shopping thru my links, Jennifer I really appreciate your support. You live in a gorgeous area!!
Really nice try on session. I’m still trying to come to grips with the wide leg pants. I can’t even seem to find bootcut or flares that aren’t way to long. I’m going to try Nordstrom.
Try crop flares
Rosemary, I’m 5’1” with a 27” inseam and petite is often too long on me. The crops fit like full length on me. Manufacturers seem to be making petites longer at as long as 29 1/2” inseams. Jennifer you look adorable in a peplum styled jacket! I didn’t get the last picture with side by sides but did look up the products. I love the periwinkle jeans! All shades of blue are still my favorites.
Love getting your blog posts daily, but glad to hear you took a day off for mental health. So important! Hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂
It felt great! Thanks
I’ve figured out that embracing nautical allows me to wear my dark winter colors in summer without looking like a goth. (No shade there, used to be one!) Obvs dark winter colors are dark, so I’ve struggled with incorporating them into summer looks. But pairing my navy, royal blue, dark reds, pine greens, and fuchsias with snappy white works. I have that LLB tote in green and white, it’s a classic!
That’s a great way to wear them Shari! I have that bag in black and soft white. I love it.
