New Beauty Products I’m Loving and a Special Sale

The older we get, the less moisture our skin produces. Dry skin can make wrinkles look more pronounced than they really are, and who wants that? I’m often asked about what products I use to tackle these issues! I get approached by a lot of brands that sound pretty amazing, but I turn most of them down because they don’t meet my standards. So, when I first discovered City Beauty in August 2022, I was so excited to share the brand with you. Since then, I’ve tried quite a few of their products. Before I dive into my favorite products, I wanted to give a little background on the brand, especially if you’ve never heard of it! Not only is City Beauty cruelty-free, but they’re also a Leaping Bunny and PETA-certified brand, which is not an easy certification to get! They must meet rigorous criteria, and their ingredient suppliers must also meet them as well!

Their products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehyde, or mineral oil, which is important to me. The company was founded on a single product that took off like a rocket, won the prestigious Good Housekeeping Award, and never looked back…creating product after product that has become customer favorites for many women.

You’ll notice that City Beauty uses the term “pro-aging” to describe their products. I’ve shared before that I don’t love the term “anti-aging,” so their approach is refreshing! City Beauty sent me three new products to try for the sale, and I think you’re going to love them.

City Beauty Under Eye Recovery

Dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines around my eyes only seem to get worse these days. So when I saw the Under Eye Recovery, I was intrigued. I’ve been looking for an eye cream and was surprised at just how much I liked this one!

I start with a dime-sized amount on my pinky and lightly pat it around the bottom of my eye and to the side of it. It’s not quite clear or white in color and blends in nicely without much effort. Unlike other eye creams I’ve tried, this one is hydrating but not goopy. With brown algae extract, a tripeptide complex, and a luminescent compound that scatters light that hits the under-eye area, I really noticed a difference when I used it in the morning and night.

City Beauty Restoring Hand Treatment

My other area of concern this time of year is my hands. They get so dry and scaley with the dry indoor air and nasty weather. I like to keep a hand lotion nearby at all times, and this Restoring Hand Treatment takes that to the next level. It’s so good that I’m planning on stocking up during the sale so that I can keep one in my purse, one in my car, and one by my nightstand. I’ve shared before that I have a few dark spots on my hands, and I like that the botanical extract blend helps to hydrate and brighten the look of them. Plus, the other ingredients help to target wrinkles and crepey skin, so consider me its newest fan!

City Beauty MicroBiome Night Mask

The last new product I tried this time was the City Beauty MicroBiome Night Mask. It is designed to help balance the skin’s microbiome, support the skin’s natural barrier, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I like that City Beauty lists out the different ingredients in their products and tells you exactly what each one does and why it’s used. The MicroBiome Night Mask contains a probiotic concentrate, Orobanche Rapum extract, and a kombucha ferment that all targets different aspects to give a smoother, more radiant complexion.

I apply a thin layer of the MicroBiome Night Mask on my freshly cleansed skin before I go to sleep and wash it off when I wake up. I was worried about it possibly staining my pillowcase, but it didn’t! I really do notice a difference in how my skin feels the next morning, and my lines seem less pronounced. The reviews on this product on the website also speak volumes about just how amazing it is!

City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm

I’ve been using and loving their Invisicrepe Body Balm, which helps reduce the appearance of crepey skin with hydrating ingredients that protect our skin barrier. It contains natural jojoba, stabilized vitamin C, niacinamide, lipids, and a host of other skin-nourishing ingredients. I slather this mostly on my upper arms right after the shower. Even though they’re covered in clothes this time of year, they tend to get flakey, which, strangely enough, makes my sweaters feel itchy. This body balm works amazingly well and feels luxurious going on.

City Beauty Multi-Action Sculpting Cream

Their Multi-Action Sculpting Cream has proven to be a favorite! It contains a lot of great ingredients, including powerful peptides, vitamin E, and one of my all-time favorite skincare ingredients, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract. Green Tea can improve skin regeneration through its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and toning properties. This cream feels amazing going on and leaves my skin feeling very soft and highly moisturized.

I use it morning and night after my serums soak in. It feels very soothing, even when my Rosacea is acting up. They include a little spatula so you can scoop out just what you need and not contaminate what’s in the jar…very smart!

City Lips Night Oil

The City Lips Night Oil is made to nourish, exfoliate, and plump the look of lips overnight with ingredients like Meadowfoam Estolide, which is a seed oil derivative that binds to water to help retain moisture for a smoother look. It also has Hyaluronic acid spheres that are reported to expand and deliver deep hydration along with a plumping effect. It has a whole host of other ingredients, all formulated to hydrate and make lips feel more supple. This sold out in a flash the last time I shared it, so hopefully, they have lots of stock this time.
