  1. Love reading your blog! Would love more ideas about dressing on a budget and also more makeup ideas. Maybe enlist a few friends who have different coloring and show clothes colors and makeup on them?

  2. Merry Christmas, Sweetie!! Love the DRD!!! I am guilty of trying on 5 outfits before I actually walk out the door!! When you post different ways to wear the same thing, I am inspired. Carry on, dear friend, carry on!!!

  3. I enjoy the photos and commentary of your travels. Merry Christmas and Happy 2019. You are doing a good job.

Merry Christmas! Iā€™d like to learn how to convert my ā€˜workā€™ wardrobe into my new retirement lifestyle … which pieces can have new life, and what to add!

    Thanks!
    Jackie

  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I agree with several comments that I would like to see everyday-wear around the house or travelling with our 5th wheel. I feel that I sometimes go too casual and well worn when it should be better. We need to look our best no matter whether home or elsewhere. I love your blog. Thank you!!

How thoughtful! I love your frank and humorous take on life and changes.
I would like to see another post on incontinenceā€”stress and urge and how people are dealing with it, unexpected and uncontrollable gas slips, and of course the doā€™s and dontā€™s of fashion classics and trends!

  8. Merry Christmas!! I would enjoy reading more about your RV travels and what you are wearing. . Thank you for this blog! RV fashion!!

  9. Thank you for your wonderful blog! I am in my seventies but enjoy dressing both casual and up to date. I would also like to expand my wardrobe to include some casual dresses. When traveling I see so many women comfortably dressed in casual dresses which are not thigh high. I am not that tall 5ā€™6 but it is hard to find knee length in washable fabrics.

  10. Iā€™ve been following your blog for 2 years. Iā€™ve learned a lot and enjoyed every post. You continually offer expert advice on so many of the details that are part of our lives and youā€™ve brought us together in an online community.

Btw, the hairdresser posting came on the very day I was in despair because I was on my way to my newish hairdresser who wasnā€™t getting it. Such timing! Since moving from Palo Alto to Santa Rosa two years ago, I cannot find one. I too have baby fine thinning hair. But I gave her one last try and she recommended a really great product: R&G Dry Shampoo Paste. It starts as a paste but as you work it in, it becomes a powder. $28 on Amazon. I am no longer a dinasaur using mousse. Itā€™s my new great product.

Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your insights every day. I never miss your posts. I love the dressing room diaries the most. I would love to see more of them (which means more creative shopping from you – Win – Win ????).

I would like more ideas for wearable, comfortable, footwear choices!

Good morning and merry Christmas to you and your family from Vancouver BC.
Have been reading and loving your blog for a few years now. We are similar in size and I have fine hair like you so can relate.
    Keep doing what you do.
Love your fashion and travel posts. I like to think of myself as a stylish but casual grandma who must be comfortable lol.
Must get back to the turkey!!!!

  14. Love your column. Thank you – I have learned so much from you. I would like to see advice on buying pants and jeans that flatter women with muscular but large thighs and calves.
Merry Christmas Jennifer and all the best to you and your loved ones in 2019!

I’ve learned so much from your blog, nearly every day has an idea that I can take to heart. As I age, I’d like it to be more gracefully and stylishly. There’s nothing I’d change. Each blog seems to be about just what I’m thinking about and wow – there it is! Hair, skin care, wonderful clothing options – I am a plus sized lady so maybe more about how I can turn some of the options toward being fuller figured. Thanks for being there for us.
Merry Christmas and enjoy some holiday cheer and love.

  16. Merry Christmas! I enjoy your blog and how you explain why things work or donā€™t work. I donā€™t usually think too much about why it doesnā€™t work but it sure does help to avoid repeat mistakes!
    Enjoy your holiday!

  17. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I would love to see more semi-casual styles that would involve pants with elastic waists!

I absolutely love the velvet shirt on you today! I wish I had one just like it!

  18. Good Morning & Merry Christmas! Just sneaking a moment for myself. ????
What would I like to see more of? Hmmm
Iā€™d love the itinerary & info on your trip to Japan. You touched on so many wonderful places and activities. Obviously, it was well researched and meticulously planned.
I love your posts on styling clothes to look best on our aging but still beautiful bodies. Your recent one on texture was an eye opener and Iā€™m going to keep that in mind when making purchases.
I love your beauty and health posts.
You always look stylish even in casual attire. Hints on how to attain that level of stylishness in jeans or leggings would be helpful.
I just want to take the time to Thank You for being in my inbox in the morning. I always read and often comment, were others I just read and remain mostly mute. The fact that you respond, give feedback and answer any
questions provides a sort of friendship with your readers.
    Have a wonderful Christmas!

  19. Merry Christmas, Thanks Jennifer for your wise and witty words dealing with fashion, family and age related challenges. I love the dressing room diaries. Seeing the current collection on a real body often factors into whether I take a trip to the store or not. Please keep your blog active in the year to come.

  20. Accessorizing and color tips to help us bring life to our faces with use of color and texture, as you did in one recent post. Also skin care and use of minimal makeup for every day. Undergarments, especially comfortable bras!????
PS your blog is brilliant and I know the time and energy it must take. Thank you!!

  21. All your tips already have been wonderful! I enjoy using them with my own clothes. I would love to hear and see how you organize your clothes in your closet. I really need to organize mine more and any tips would be appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  22. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I always enjoy the post where I learn a new trick to add to my life and wardrobe; especially the one about wearing texture. I also appreciate you being the Ginny pig trying on clothes and allowing us to be a fly on the wall. I always love to see investment pieces of clothing that can be added to what I already have; and maybe more accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc.), or how to wear the ones we might already have.

Thanks for all your help in keeping us looking our best as we age.

  23. Merry Christmas, Jennifer! I found your blog this year and enjoy it so much. I canā€™t think of a thing I would change. I do like seeing styling tips for particular body types and would like to see more of that along with ā€œmissesā€ as a learning exercise.

  24. Merry Christmas Jennifer, I do enjoy all of your posts! Your style is very appreciated for my lifestyle, however I must make adaptations for living in Alberta. Please add more postings on face and skincare in general, as well as makeup tips for women in their 60ā€™s. Thanks

  25. Pam Welch says:

Merry Christmas Jennifer! I love your blog just as it is! Don’t change a thing!

  26. J'Laine Bradley says:

I love your blog. I had weight loss surgery 18 mo ago and i am having to find my style. I went from wearing what I could find in my size to buying things I actually like. I follow you for your excellent advice. Just keep doing what you do in 2019!

  27. Merry Christmas, Jennifer, to you and your family! I love so many things about your blog. Reading it is my reward for having gone out early and done my power walk in the neighborhood. I come back, have my coffee, and settle in for a read. If I had to pick, Iā€™d like to see more of your polished casual looks with jeans, dressing on a budget, summer casual looks that are both cool and not leg-baring (I live in a climate very similar to yours, and summer is my biggest challenge), dressing room diaries, tips for styling baby fine straight hair, and innovative ideas for things you already own. Your latest post about the anti-aging effects of texture was great – innovative, fun, and inspiring!

    1. Merry Christmas Jennerfer You do a great job for the women who like to look like they are staying in touch with how to look like they care about themselves . Always like the subjects you address and read most days and have passed your sight on to my friends Hope you never tire of enlightening us Have a blessed new year

  28. I like the dressing room diaries and the posts that explain why somethings just donā€™t work. I like seeing the new styles of the different stores. You help me look at my outfits in a constructive way, it helps me realize I need to tweak my look, not assume I have nothing to wear.

  29. ā€œMy sewing room,ā€ was my immediate answer to your question about what we would like to see more of. I havenā€™t seen much of it lately because we are trying to get our house ready to sell so we can move closer to our oldest daughter. Then I realized you werenā€™t looking for answers like that, but for what we would like to see more of on the blog.

I would like to see more on what you wear at home on casual days. My days are quieter; Iā€™m not always going places and seeing people. It is easy to become a slob when you are staying at home. Since I see more at-home-time coming after I retire next month, I want to know how to look good when I am hanging out at home. What kind of clothes should I be making when I get back into my sewing room.

Oh, and thinning hair. Iā€™m dealing with that and hate it. My doctor has me on Vitamin D, so I am hoping that will help, but not seeing a lot of difference so far. It has only been a month.LOL

  30. Merry Christmas! I love your blog ad learn so much from it! One of my favorites is Dressing Room Diaries. As others have suggested I would love hints on dressing on a budget. I also like it when you talk about what doesn’t work and why.
