I’m updating this post from last year with some new ideas and the gifts that were so popular with readers.

Affordable Gifts for Women Under $50

Beauty Mini Kits

I’m a big fan of beauty and trial size kits with mini versions because you or the recipient get to try multiple products and decide if you like them before ordering the full size.

ILIA MINIS FOR ANY MOOD KIT

I love every Illia product I’ve tried, and several are regular items I repurchase time and again. This little kit lets them try the mascara (a huge favorite) along with some mini lipsticks. I love that this brand is clean and cruelty-free.

MINI FLUSH BALM CREAM BLUSH SET

I love these Merit blushes and currently alternate between two of the full-sized versions. They go on smoothly, never settle into lines, and last all day. They’re vegan, clean and cruelty-free.

TACHA MINI FAVORITES SET

I’ve used several of these Tatcha favorites and really like them. The Water Cream is especially nice, and these are the perfect size for travel.

Wind-Chimes

These wind-chimes will make a great addition to her porch or garden. They play lovely soft-toned sounds, so no need to worry about upsetting your neighbors! You can get them in several other colors, like gold, copper, black and white.

Hermes Inspired Wrap

Get the designer look for less with this stunning pashmina cape for $18.99! This would look lovely paired with a black turtleneck and black pants. It comes in many other prints and colors, but be aware that the prices vary slightly between each style.

Weekly Desk Pad

Help her stay on top of her daily and weekly to-do list with this pretty weekly desk pad by Rifle Paper Company. This pad comes with 52 tear-off sheets so she can be organized all year long. I think this needs to be on my gift list because my to-do list gets totally out of control.

Pedicure Foot Bath

There’s nothing more relaxing than a pedicure or a day at the spa, and now you can get a similar experience from the comfort of your own home. Give the gift of self-care and relaxation with this vibrating foot bath. It has easy on/off toe controls in case your loved one can’t easily bend over, and the best part is it’s under $25!

9-Piece Gardening Set

This 9-piece gardening set is the perfect gift for the gardener in your life! It contains all of the tools she needs to tend to her flower or vegetable garden, which are all neatly stored in an adorable garden tote. It even comes with a pair of gloves so she can keep her manicure intact!

Cozy Blanket

This is another great item that looks so much more expensive! If you don’t want to spend money on the Barefoot Dreams blanket, this cozy blanket will keep them just as warm and cozy. I love this beautiful khaki leopard print, but the charcoal gray and light gray options are great too!

Tea Sampler

If you have a loved one who likes to sip on a warm cup of tea before bed, they will love this tea sampler kit. Pair it with a cute mug, and you are all set!

Initial Tote Bag

This personalized initial tote bag is the perfect size for a trip to the Farmer’s market or a day at the beach. While it’s a great gift all by itself, the best part is that it can double as a gift bag. I think I need the “J” one for myself!

Indoor Herb Garden Kit

Every kitchen looks better with a window herb garden! She can add flavor to her food and spice up mealtime with herbs she grew using this indoor herb garden kit.

Bath Bombs

These bath bombs are the ultimate stress reliever for the gal in your life who needs to take a chill pill! The holiday season is so stressful, so let her get some R+R by turning her bathtub into a dreamy escape.

Drink Tumbler

This Swig Travel Tumbler keeps her favorite drink hot or cold. I really like that it has a silicone bottom that keeps it from being so loud when you sit it down. It also easily fits in a cup holder and can be cleaned in the dishwasher, which is a must-have when hunting for a cup!

Organic Spices, Set of 10

If she loves to cook, she will love these organic, high-quality spices. These spices make creating a delicious meal easy! They are made in the USA by a small family business in Jacksonville, Florida.

Electronic Rechargeable Candle Lighter

This rechargeable electronic candle lighter makes lighting candles around my house so easy! Pair it with your favorite candle for her ultimate gift bundle. If you prefer to use matches with your candles, I love this beautiful match cloche, which would also make a great hostess gift.

Do you have women to buy for on your list?

  1. The worst is when you order the tote for your daughter, and she has the same initial, so you end up keeping it for yourself. This year, I’m solving the buy one keep one problem… I’m putting all the “keep ones” under the tree with a tag from my husband. He always buys me a lovely piece of jewelry but he’s so overwhelmed during the holidays, I don’t think he’ll notice the extras!

    1. Snorted my tea up my nose with that truth, Connie! Thanks for sharing.

    Good morning, Jennifer,
I love all of your beautiful gift selections. The women in your life are going to be delighted when they open your gifts for them! šŸ¦‹ šŸ’•

  3. Good morning….here’s my fashion funny this morning šŸ™‚ I clicked on the jeans in the email and saw the video from Nordstrom’s. The females outfit in the video was very intriguing.
I was wondering if that’s the cutting edge on fashion design (I thought it was an apron over the dress) and shear knee hi stockings proudly displayed. I’m just getting old I guess and trying to think back on what my mother must have said of my outfits back in the day. Needless to say I got distracted from the jeans. lol

    1. Lol, thatā€™s hilarious! Happy Tuesday Robin šŸ¤£

  4. Sharon K. says:

Great ideas, I want them all! Oh, wait, these are supposed to be gifts. OK, re-reading with others in mind!

    1. Lol, thatā€™s the way my mind works too!

  5. Lots of great gift ideas – but only have to buy for my sister, one niece and a sister in law. My friends and I stopped exchanging gifts as it became too hard knowing what to buy. The initialled tote bag is a winner. I love Tatcha and took a travel size pack away on my holiday. Canā€™t say I was a fan of the water cream, but love the Rice wash and Indigo overnight cream.

    1. I havenā€™t tried the rice wash. Thanks for the recommendation!

  6. I bought the initial tote and Hermes dupe last year as gifts.. they went over big!!! Nice to have someone do the legwork ( or finger work) šŸ¤£ for me!! Thx for the ideas!!

  7. Hi Jennifer,
This is awesome! Thanks so much.
    Best wishes!

  8. So appreciate these posts Jennifer as always such super suggestions even though on occasion items are not always available to we Canadians. i.e.: For stocking stuffers for the ladies, the theme this year is for the ‘eyes’ but had to order direct from Patchology (the Patching All The Way set) rather than from Nordstrom. -Brenda-

  9. The beauty kits that come out for the Christmas season are my downfall and you listed 2 that I will likely have to have. I had to laugh when you talked about the one for you and one for me issue. I thought you were talking directly to me. Glad to know I am in good company.

    1. Lol, itā€™s always that way for me šŸ™‚

  10. Yes, the holiday beauty kits are a great option to try new products. Some will feature a full size version of an awesome product too!
Another idea for your tea lovers is the Sweese porcelain cup. Itā€™s designed for loose tea leaves and comes in so many fun colors through Amazon. I have it in pink.
And, a new cozy blanket is always welcome!
    All great ideas this morning!

    1. Never heard of that Sweese cup. Iā€™ll check that out! It sounds wonderful.

  11. Love those totes! Ordered two as gifts. Thanks, Jennifer

    1. I think theyā€™re super cute.

  12. I ordered the initial bag last year for my momā€™s social worker at the nursing home. Every time I stop by her office, her bag is on the desk, stuffed with stuff. She loves it. Highly recommend.

    1. Awesome, Bev! That was so nice of you.

  13. Hi Jennifer – I ordered the initial tote and the cozy blanket as a gift for a friend who has a birthday in January. Thanks for the great gift ideas!

    1. I love that initial tote!

  14. Such great suggestions, Jennifer! Thanks for all you do!

  15. I love all of the ideas! The totes, lighter, and spices are on my list

  16. Thanks for the great ideas!

  17. Some incredible gift ideas, and affordable. I actually ordered a couple of these for myself! As always, thank you for the care and thought you put into your posts.

    1. I thought those lighters were pretty smart. My daughter has one she loves.

  18. Wow! Wonderful affordable ideas! I sent links to my kids on several items that would be perfect for me. I especially like the electric lighters. Iā€™ve never heard of them and think Iā€™ll stock up as they would make great gifts along with a candle for a friend and for hostess gifts and also as stocking stuffers for my D-I-Ls. Thanks Jennifer!!

    1. We have an electric lighter like that at church. Whoever prepares the area for the service is supposed to light a candle. It’s handy and doesn’t leave a matchstick or the smell of sulfur in the air. It hardly puts off a spark, good if you have concerns about other things catching fire from your match!

  19. Oh, I forgot to name the company in my previous post. Itā€™s Bathorium.BJ

    1. Thanks for sharing, BJ.

  20. Lovely ideas. FYI my neighbourā€™s son has a wonderful company here in Ottawa that is solely dedicated to luxe bath products. They have achieved much recognition being featured on Good Morning America and other high profile shows in Canada and US. Cheers .

  21. Gwen Ewing says:

I just saw your brother’s books! I ordered 6 of them for my grandchildren’s Christmas gift!

    1. Thank you, I hope your grandchildren will enjoy them!

  22. Those are really thoughtful gifts. I’ve barely started shopping so I appreciate all the these suggestions.

  23. Hi Jennifer, so many good suggestions. Finding great affordable gifts gets more challenging all the time. One exceptionā€¦ before buying wind chimes for someone, please consider their neighbors; we donā€™t all love them. šŸ˜¬ Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

    1. Lol, youā€™re right!!

  24. I am still struggling with gifts for my hair stylist and manicurist. I am just stuck!

    1. Is a Starbucks gift card in a Starbucks mug too predictable?

    2. Sharon K. says:

Gosh, the totes would be perfect, no?

  25. Gwen Ewing says:

I bought my 2 daughters and 2 dil’s the initial totes! I think I will add the lighters, such cool ideas! I love the spices too, I may get those for all the men!
