Vancouver has basically felt like ‘sweats’ weather this last week so this has been my standard attire for walking the city and spending my days. There have been some jeans, of course, because they’re a major part of my wardrobe. We are going to the symphony again this weekend and I’m scrambing for something to wear because I didn’t leave any ‘nice’ spring things here.

Fashion Sales on my radar

NORDSTROM PRICE MATCHING has scored me more than a few fabulous deals. They match the sale prices other compaies have so you’re always gaunteed the lowest prices with their free shipping and returns. It’s a win/win which is why they’re my fabroite department store.

LO & SONS make my favorite travel purses, and they’ve just added new items to their 40% off spring sale.

TALBOTS has 30% off spring favorites! Here are the trending favorites:

J. JILL has 30% off their new full-priced tops. This linen shirt, in the color Amalfi, is stunning. I’m a huge fan of cotton gauze in the summer because it never needs ironing. This shirt is gorgeous in “aster”. This paisley top is perfect for warm days with no-stain white jeans and pretty sandals.

NEW J.JILL TOPS ON SALE

CHICO’S has 25% off their Travelers and Zenergy collection through tomorrow. That means their skorts are on sale, which are the most flattering length I’ve tried. You could wear this one to a bridal shower, and no one would know it was a skort! This one is long enough to cover your knees but is not marked down. This anorak is great for spring and on sale.

  1. Talking about fraying all over the place I detest ripped and frayed jeans and some of the rips are huge, I just don’t get it.
I am loving navy, white soft grey and shades of blue at the moment and your scarf is lovely, such pretty blues.

  2. Curious as to how you hang your pants, and does it matter the type of fabric? For example, I hang jeans, tailored pants over a hanger after ironing them, but have started hanging knit pants with the clip type hangers so they aren’t folded over a rod. Have you discovered a favorite tip for hanging pants?

    1. I fold my pants and jeans, inseam to outsean and hang them from a clip hanger. It prevents wrinkles and I can easily see everything I have.

I do love Soft Surroundings, and was so sorry to discover they’ve closed their retail outlets. They are so adamant about not shipping to Canada that they refused to mail me a catalog of their online collections 🙁 I do find the odd thing on eBay, but fear they might not survive much longer.

    1. They closed all retail stores to fucus on ecommerce. Many stores are going that route because it’s cost effective.

  4. Jennifer I don’t remember you reviewing the ON Cloud sneaker. What are your thought please on their comfort? Thank you.

    1. They’re very comfy! Not overly cushiony, but perfect for a casual shoe. I also love that they just slip on, but feel secure on my foot because of the elastic laces.

      1. I love my gortex on cloud.
I first bought the day before I went to London. Walked miles everyday in them.
In Seattle I walk my Westie everyday rair or shine. Dry feet everyday.

  5. I love that you are incorporating scarves. I use them all the time for a pop of color or to soften a black sweater or top. They make great souvenirs don’t they? I have some from my high school European trip and they still “fit”! Museums often have a work of art or two made into scarves. I have a gorgeous multi colored one from the Hermitage in St Petersburg. Not only do they travel well they are so easy to pack. Hail to the mighty scarf!

    1. I totally agree!! They’re such a game changer for travel.

  6. I wondered about that jacket when I saw you in it on the blog earlier this week. The whole outfit looks so good on you! A youthful vibe but totally appropriate. The fraying isn’t that noticeable in the dark color either. I like fraying as long as it’s manicured and not loose threads everywhere.

    1. Manicured is the perfect way to describe the fray. Loose threads are not tidy enough for me. The fabric is just an amazing quality too.
